The presence of the President of Szeged University in the Medical and Dental Schools of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences
Dr. Laszlo Rovo on the first day of his trip to Iran, visited the schools of medicine and dentistry of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in order to familiarize himself with SBUMS’ scientific-educational-research capacities.
In the meeting with the directors of the medical school, measures, infrastructure and activities were presented, especially in the field of education and empowerment of international students.
Dr. Laszlo Rovo, accompanying delegation, medical faculty directors, administrators and international affairs experts visited the departments of anatomy, biology, physiology as well as classrooms.
Then Dr. Laszlo Rovo, and his accompanying board visited faculty of dentistry. In this visit scientific-educational-research capacities of this faculty grab the Hungarian delegation’s attention.
In a meeting with the vice-chancellors and managers of different groups of the dental school, the therapeutic-educational measures of this center were presented in the form of a compact and comprehensive report.
Dr. Parhizgar the professor of dental school in this joint meeting said: “this faculty has 12 educational groups, 130 faculty members, 125 medical residents and higher education assistants, and 1100 students who study various majors. One of the notable measures of this faculty is the establishment and equipping of dental phantom (simulator) sector.
Dr. Laszlo Rovo, and his accompanying board also had a field visit to the Dental Research Institute, Phantom Department, Surgical Rooms, Dental Biomaterials, Periodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Maxillofacial Pathology.
